Hi everyone! I have just returned form Germany after 4 years in the airforce. I have a samsung TV that has a standard european round two prong plug. Of course it didn't dawn on me that it had that plug until I got back to the states. So I need to switch it to an american plug. I have a grounded plug ready to install. I thought I would find three wires inside to match up, but there are only two. One blue, one brown. The american plug is green black and white. Can someone tell me how to switch it over? Thanks alot!!!

You should check with Samsung about that. European voltages are different than they are here. What does it say on the back of the TV on the rating plate?

If we assume that the TV's power supply accomodates the american 115 V mains voltage as well as the european 230 V, then it should not be a problem.

For at least 25 years, european TVs have been manufactured as so-called class 2 products (reinforced insulation). This means that they only have two leads in the mains cable, no protective ground. When wiring a such cable to a grounded plug, just don't connect the ground pin and connect the two wires to the L and N pins. Although it doesn't matter for normally designed equipment, brown is used as neutral and blue is used as line.
