How many times does the light flash? There should be a blink code. 5 times? 7 times?

Cheers for the reply.

The stand-by flash never stops blinking. It constantly flashes...

Try 2 things. With the remote, press display, press the #5 button, press volume up, the press power. Does the set come on?
Second, if it didn't come on, take the back off and turn the screen control down a smidge. If it comes on the tube is getting weak.
