Right, sorry if this is a stupid question, but whilst messing about inside my computer, I bridged a conection on my dvd drive with my multimeter between the 11v power point and the respective ground. Something got fried. To someone who knows about electronics, i.e. not me, could whatever got fried be something obvious? Is there some section of the circuit I should be looking at in particular?
Cheers in advance, _________________ PLC | TouchScreen | Electronice |

As the saying goes....stupid questions are the one's never asked?
Most of the time, it is rather obvious but NOT always. Usually the source for the drive starts from inside the power supply. Should not be hard to trace. More than likely a protection fusistor or a resistor in line. --rarely a regulator. |
