We have had the 63" Philips Plasma TV for about 10 months and there are two major problems that have been getting worse and worse:
1.) the screen flickers, gets what appears to be a dark 'shadow' layer, and then goes complete black - it does this intermittently and it isn't possible to predict when it is going to be fine for hours, or when it is going to go out after 10 minutes....this has been happening much more frequently in the last couple of weeks. 2) at times, in order to turn the tv on (either manually or with the remote), it is necesary to remove the power plug from the back of the tv and then plug it in again; this is the only way to get the tv to turn on when it does this. Does anyone have any suggestions? Trying to determine how to return this 187lb TV is not something we want to do, if there is some other way to fix this! Thanks so much in advance for any help. |
