Sony Vaio VGN-FJ170

I have broken the dc jack on this laptop and think I have located a replacement, but cannot get the chasis off to see if it has a pigtail or is part of the motherboard. I can get it off until I get to the dvd side and something seems to be holding it in place. 'does anyone know how to remove the case on the computer?
