i am in trouble with this compact hi-fi , no schematic found on the net .Failure :
some time in random time the device switch OFF and again ON without any apparently reason. It can work for 7 hours without problems and some time go in fail mode and again come back in normal function but never in permanent way.
I exclude bad solder joint or intermittent contact or overheating. In my opinion is a false power supply protection that cause fault :
does any body had similar problem with or there is a design fault ?
thanks for cooperation

Intermittent problems such as your description-- can be a real pain to spot. Doubt if it is related to a "design flaw". Are there any mechanical switches of any kind involved in operation of the unit? ---possibility? As far as protection, with the help of schematic, you can monitor any protection line.
In general, while there is always a possibility of electronic device failure, in consumer electonics, mechanical issues such as mode select &/or sense switches are usually the root cause of intermittent functions. |
