Hello!

I have an Orion TV-714 TV, where the power IC (driver) exploded.
I have found a schematic for the TV here, but there is an other power circuit: an integrated version including the MOSFET.
In my TV is a separated driver IC (this was exploded) and a MOS FET (2SK2651).

What I know is:
Housing: DIL8
Pos: IC501
PCB: TMB542A
written on the IC, what I can read:
.........P
........2Z9
.......8726 (maybe 3 not Cool
.HmH2251

Has somebody an idea what for an IC is it?

Thanks!
KaraK

While there could be a number of SMPS controllers used, looking at your numbers it rang a bell...?
Not sure if this is what you have but take a look at the schematic for toshiba 24Z33b which was also used on some Orions. It did use a 2SK2651 with an 8 pin TEA1507P(IC501) smps controller. Perhaps that is what the exploded IC is? You can compare it;

If not try looking at other Orion schematics--there may be a similar chasis that used it?

Hope that helps

Thanks for the fast response!

I made a compare, than bought the part, and yes, we can!
So it's working now.

(of course it was not the only deffective part, so really simple was it not...)

Again for the protocoll:
It was a TEA1507P.
