I have this Philips Magnavox 32" Chassis 32v501-00AA Model TP3273 C102.
The unit will power up for a few seconds and charge the picture tube and then it sounds like the flyback cuts out. The power light on the unit stays on but no high voltage. When I discharged the anode it was very loud, much louder then any I have ever heard. Could this be the picture tube or possibly the flyback? I checked the horizontal output transistor and it seems to check good. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Jesse.....

OK I tried replacing the c520 and that did not work. The c520 is actually an electrolytic 47uf 250v.
It sounds like the TV tries to turn on then nothing. But the power light stays on. Do you have any other suggestions? Jesse......

OK... I found what I thought was the faulty part. Its a 12N (12 nano farad) 1600 volt cap. I replaced the cap and the set turned on for about 5 seconds then went back off. When the set was on the screen was a white picture with lines and had great sound.

Now the set powers up with a green light, relays are clicking but no high voltage.

I dont want to admit to this but I think between the trial and error I believe the ribbon cable that goes to the back of the crt circuit board was unplugged.
Im not totally sure that was the case but would that make this happen?

I checked the H.O.T. and fused resistors and now at a standstill.

I have another scrap board almost exact as this one.

Ay suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Jesse.....

Sounds like a bad flyback.
