Akai VCR VS f260 child lock code

Can anyone tell me the code for disabling the child lock on an Akai VCR, model VS f260? I don't have a manual. Please reply to this forum or email:

i think that the same code applies
try pressing the play button for 8 or more seconds, to put the lock back on you press the stop button for the same amount of time
