my hitachi tv has not picture

i have a Hitachi 42edt41 and when i plug it in and turn it on it makes a high pitched noise and a whole bunch of clicks and then goes to standby but if i turn it on again it does not make the noise but still makes the clicks
and there are 5 leds inside the back of the TV that i remember thay where all on when it was working but know there are only 2
