Toshiba Menu Problem

Hello, I'am working on a tv for a friend.This is a Toshiba TZ 55X71 Chassis TAC 9966. The problem started out as bad Convergance ICs, I replaced them with a quality set. I also checked the resistors that were close by.When we turned it back on the converg. was way out(like it was before).Now, when I went to the menu and chose convergance it takes me to the screen and says press enter to change color, or press exit to choose area of screen (1 thru 9). It will let me pick a number for spots on the screen, and that is it, it will not show a crosshatch to do the moving of the color. The top and bottom of the picture are bowed. I tried the service menu, butt I don't know enough about this tv to do any good. I found a 50 point (or something close to that)grid, butt again I dont know how to do any moving.I may be in the wrong menu, can you tell me the right way to use the service menu on this set? I know the convergance generator could be bad, butt I think it is built on to one of the boards, not just a stand alone that can be unplugged. Are there other resistors or caps I may have missed ? Any help would be great, you guys have been so helpful in the past. Thanks again, Brad

On the remote, press mute, press and hold mute, while holding mute press menu on tv. S will come up on set. On remote press menu then 9 it will bring up your grid. 3 changes the color, 2 is up, 4 is left, 6 is right, 5 0r 8 is down. 7 is store new value.
