philips dvdr880/015 no functions just fault code AEOOED8

Does any body know what this code means. AEOOED8 It comes up in display then there sre no functions machine locks up.

Majority of the codes have no real meaning on philips units. Basically it is some sort of communication problem within the unit.

Try unplugging & leaving it off for a day or so & if you keep getting the error, it is most likely the digital pcb causing the fault. Sometimes you may luck out with just a software upgrade but it is rare
