Hi everybody, this tv shows the picture as bright red and blue, lower green, no white and a lot of black. I initially thought the luminance signal was missing and replaced the cxa1545as near the av/svideo i/p. Green seems stronger and picture clearer, but other symptoms still remain. Also the brightness control doesn't have much effect.

I am thinking it maybe the delay line, does anyone know which component this would be or is it contained within the chroma-decoder IC?

Sounds like your picture tubes are weak. In other words, time for a new set. If you turn up the screen control and the tube do not go into retrace, there flat. Flat=old.
