I have a digital chess clock that is malfunctioning.

Here is a picture of the display when it is working well-

Here is the inside of the chess clock-

Notice the copper colored ribbon type connector and the IC board. When pressure is applied to the ribbon at specific places along the left connector it cures the display issue.

Here is a close up on the malfuntioning connetion-

What should I do to refresh the connection?

Not sure how to "refresh" ribbons?

Hard to tell from the pictures if they are "soldered type" or not?
If so, you can try re-soldering the ends or else need to replace them. Not knowing who manufactured it, it is a hit or miss trying to find a repalcement. but it should be possible to find some sort of replacement or improvise.

BTW, removing the extra ?v=0 at the end of each url will post as the actuall pictures in the forum.
