retrieving activity report

How does one get a sharp fax UX-510 to give up what it knows? I sent a fax back in 2006, but there was no paper in the tray so it didn't print a transmission report. Now I find I need to prove the transmission was successful. How? Surely others have been in similar situations? The Activity Report doesn't show it. BUT the imaging film has not been changed, so isn't there a record there? I can't take the chance of destroying it. What do I do? Is there a professional who can make the machine cough up the evidence I need? Any help appreciated, thanks,
