Changed the STK392-040's over but it has made no difference whatsoever.
The convergance menu still doesnt move either.
Could it be something else? |

Atfer looky really closely, I've found an all Orange round component with a 22 on it thats got a black dot (burnt) at the top?
I'm not sure what thing is though? Can anyone shed some light and whether or not this could be the cause? |

Hiya minnie.
Indeed it is yes.
I probably would need a new one, but I'm not even sure of it's name! LOL |

I'm not sure it is. The site you described doesnt show an image of it. It looks like this -
And has a black spot at the top of it and the number 22 on it. This is a Disc Capacitor. I think it's ment to have the black mark on top of it.
The resistors under the heat sink all seem as though they are in good condition. How would I be able to check for certain? |

I have tested all the resistors under the heat sink and all seem to 'resisting' fine. That only leave a few capacitors, but I'm unsure how to test these.
I'm gonna carry on testing some resistors around the STK's to see if they are OK. |

Really was hoping a resistor was blown. But they all seem to have the correct ratings according to my DMM.
Capacitors around the Heatsinks dont seem swollen or burnt (apart from one which is orage and has a black dot on the top, but I think it's ment to be this way).
I'm worried I've been sold cheap dodgy STK392-040's now and that they are not the compatible ones for this model as Gary mentioned earlier.
But after installing them, the TV looks EXACTLY the same as it did before, which seems a bit odd. Like I said, I'm hoping it could be something else.
1 other thing I thought I should mention, Pins 1, 2 and 3 on these STK's dont seem as though they need soldering to the board as there is no copper to solder them too. I gather this is normal (I havent soldered these!)
Starting to think it's something really simple I've missed now.
Any clues? |

I'm trying to find a print. There's one here but seems to be corrupt. You're missing your supply to the ic but with out a print I can't tell you where to look. |
