Hi All
Our 100hz Philips matchline had an accident with a 2 yr old and a cup of water (down the back - I know - ouch). It was literally a case of seeing myself in slow motion lunging for the set yelling Noooooooo. After 4 days the set worked again but with the folowing problems (which it has had for about 3-months).
1. Powering on each time, it has defaulted to another language and does not retain any settings from previous use.
2. There are no 100hz/Digital Natural Motion settings appearing in the user menus.
3. The picture is very slightly out of focus (i.e. you would need to have seen it before to notice)
3. there are no advanced sound settings appearing in the user menus (equalizer etc.)
4. moving up the screen, the picture bends in (slightly and progressively) from the right and left sides.
5. To borrow PC terminology, it reminds me of running in safe-mode.
Is there any chance a simple restoration of factory settings etc. in the service menu (assuming that exists) could fix this. I have ordered a service manual online.
Thanks
