I need to pack my Brother HL-4040CN laser printer for moving, and upon reading the instructions found that I should have saved the plastic orange pieces that come inside the printer and toner cartridges for this purpose...but I threw them out a year ago when I got the printer. Any advice out there on alternatives? I'll be moving it myself and it won't be going through the mail, if that helps. |

Usually, it is no problems as far as you treat the printer carefully and don't tip it over. If you want to be very careful, take out the toner cartridge and move it separately, then there is no risk of toner leaking out in the printer. Remember that the selen drum of the cartridge is sensitive to strong sunlight, it is best to wrap the cartridge in old newspapers or black plastic. |
