|
|
Hello,
First of all, thanks for this forum and the great help/advice that I have read.
OK, heres the deal.
I have a July 1993 model ck-31302 serial 501772 32" mitsubishi tv, that has a rolling screen problem. I guess you would call it a vertical sync problem.
The screen started rolling and after 15 mins it would stop, it also would stop during that time if a bright color commercial or tv scene was on. Then a week went on by, and now it takes longer and longer for the rolling to stop. Estimate an hour to stop rolling now. Could you please give me some advice on what to adjust or replace. I do have some soldering capabilities. Thanks for your help and time. _________________ //\\//\\ikeD73USA |

Ok, I'm up for that if you think that would solve my problem... But how do I do that? THanks for your time. |

The pip board is a plug in board to the main chassis. Look for a brown wire going to it. You can jump it by removing the board and jumping pins 5 and 11 with a either a 47uf/50v cap and pins 7 and 9 with a .1uf/50v cap, or just use wire. Most models you don't need the caps you can just use wire. The easiest way is to shove the jumpers into the blue connectors. |

Hello,
Thanks for your reply and help.
There are two blue connectors that this board plugs into. One I read says VP, I cant see/read the other connector label. You said jumpering connectors, which connector, get the jumpers? 2 jumpers in total. They also secured the pip-c module, to a card next to it... This is making removal more difficult that it needs be. Anything I need to be careful of with the power off/unplugged??? thanks again, your a great help. _________________ //\\//\\ikeD73USA |

Hello,
OK I got the pip-c board out... I see in the other post it is just the VP connector I am concerned about.
So here is a real easy one for you, maybe my eyes cant see it, but where is PIN#1 at? Looking at the connector from the back of the chasis, is pin # 1 closest to me? or by the tube? thanks again for your time... _________________ //\\//\\ikeD73USA |

ONE MORE THING!!!!
what do I do with the pip-c mdule now... it is hanging there by the brown wire. Do I just wrap it in electrical tape and place it some where on the chasis? Or do i cut the brown wire, and remove it completely? Thanks again... _________________ //\\//\\ikeD73USA |

here is a schematic of the ck-31302, from it I figured out the pin layout. Do I need to cut the PIP brown wire and remove it completely?
The .pdf picture needs to be rotated so you can see the pip board.

This may help somebody else in the future... _________________ //\\//\\ikeD73USA |

Here is a pic of the repair/jumper for future use/archive. I still have not tried the tv yet because I do not know yet if the brown wire gets cut and remove the pip altogether.
