|

The reported fault initially was a red vertical line on the LHS moving inward as it warmed up with the width reducing slightly. After removing the back cover it now has very low width perminently.
It doesn't appear to have any d/j's and there are no elecs showing signs of distress...can anyone help please |

Does it have E/W (pincushion) distortion too or is the width too low with straight edges of the scan?
If there also is signs of E/W distortion, then check the E/W modulator parts (diodes, flyback cap, bridge coil, E/W drive transistor and so on).
In case of no E/W distortion, then check the supply voltage to horizontal output as a first step. |

I'm so sorry...it doesn't have low width, just the low width of the brain that wired it up to a satellite receiver incorrectly set!! However if we can start again...The picture has two vertical lines through the image 3-4 inches from the sides, the left one is red and the right is green, any ideas? |
