Harman Kardon AVR 325 No sound

I picked up an Harman Kardon AVR 325 Receiver.
Everything is working except for sound,
However there is a direct inputs option, when I take say a tuner and plug it into the direct inputs I get sound. Of course when doing this there is no preamp stage so there is just one basic sound with no controls for sound or dolby ect.
I found one fuse burried under a circuit board and checked it, it is fine.

So there must be a problem in the sound processing department right??

Anyone know anything or can you offer any help?? Maybe an easy fix??
