i can't turn on my camera

hi. i have a problem with my samsung digimax u-ca 501 camera. for some reason i can't turn it on. everything seems fine though. the battery is placed in the right polarity and the memory card is working fine. the camera has not been damaged physically and internally, yet i still don't know why can't i turn on my camera. if you could help me, that'll be great. thanks.

Great camera! I've go one my self!

Had the same problem also!

Some contact below the battery were out of alignment, and were not "touching" the battery.
After straighten them a bit with a small plier, it worked fine again.

Do (or did) you use the camera with the standard Duracel batt, or the optional accu?
If the last, can you tell me how long the operation-time approx. is?
Cause I'm thinking about buying an accu.
