Hi,

I have 32MF321 LCD TV that is very bright and washed out. The brightness control does not do anything when raised or lowered. I opened it up and it looks like there is some sort of water damage to the main board. I have found a replacement board, but I wanted to ask around and see if there might be a componant I can riplace to fix the problem before I purchaced a whole new board.

Thank You

From the picture it has all the symptoms of liquid damage which is more than likely too time consuming & unreliable---replace it

Hi,

I replaced the main board that had the water damage in the picture and the problem persists. It looks like a negative image on the tv, Any ideas on where to try next. None of the other boards look like they have been damaged.

Thank you

Without detailed service info. or familiarity with the specific set, just about all you can do is to make absolutely sure that none of the connectors going to the board plugs have any residual corrosion. Also it is possible that it might have knocked out a supply line going to the board or perhaps caused another defect elsewhere? Any voltage markings on the board or spot voltage checks can be helpful.
