hello, i have broken my remote for a phillips on digital box i bought a new universal one but cant get it to work please help thank you

Hello,

These universal remote works fine on most devices !
First, you have to program the remote as follows :
1)put on your television
2) take your remote and press the SET button, and keep it pressed.
3) now press the device button, for example TV1
4) now release both buttons, the red led will light up.
5)now give in the device code,which has three digits : for Philips, suiteable codes are :005,014,035,037,045,049,059,075,085,086,099,104,121,124,132,169,170,178,180,181,195,203,204,206.
6) give in the first code, and point the remote at the tlevision, press standby and the tv should switch to standby.
7) if the code is ok, that means that the buttons on the remote correspond to the right functions, just press TV1 once, and everything is ok till the next battery exchange.
If the code doesn't work, start again at point 1 and try the next code, until the device works correct.
If nothing works, you'll have to try the manual method :
press the SET button, and keep it pressed.
Press the device button (f.e. TV1) and release both buttons
now press once the POWER button on the remote, the led goes blinking.
point the remote at the tv and press the POWER button,leave an interval of one second,and press the power button again until the tv goes into standby; at that moment, you have found the correct code.
activate the tv again by pressing a channel number and press once the device button TV1.
success !
