Just for the heck of it, have you tried reinstalling the original convergence IC to see if the "humm buzz" is still there?
If it is still there, it has to be "something" that you did (in a previous post, you claim it wasn't there before you began). |

i thought of that but it was destroyed by the time i got it out...i will probably end up trying a new chip and see what happens....i just figured maybe i missed something ...thanks for all youre help ..will let ya know what happens.... |

update: took the chassis in to the shop i had solder the chip in for diagnosis...they said the ferrite filter was missing from the audio wiring ......i did not remove it ...but it is fixed and they didnt charge me... i am skeptical ..... |
