sony kp53hs10 picture goes black and comes back

hi to all..looking for some help..have a sony kp53hs10 big screen..6 years old..heres the problem..powers up fine..sound is good..after 2 minutes or so the picture starts to blink(i do not loose sound)..when it does this it flashes the code 5 (ie. it blinks the code on the red light)..when the picture comes back on(it usually is only out for a second)it displays what video input im using in the upper lh corner..im thinking my VH Flyback is bad?(only think this cause the problem with the flyback im told is common)
any help would be greatly appreciated..
