does any body know about replacing globes in projection tvs ie are they easy to remove and when replaced do they need aligning . should i attempt it myself or leave it to the experts [knowing i will be charged heaps] i can get globe fairly cheaply. thank you. |

They're called Projection Tubes, NOT Globes, one Red, one Green and one Blue.
If you are mechanically inclined (you can successfully take apart and reassemble CORRECTLY, a gun, a small engine, a washing machine, etc.) you should be able to swap them yourself.
Yes, they do require alignment.
What makes YOU believe the tubes are bad? |
