Hello,

First of everything I am Italian so my English will not be very good.

I have some problems with this notebook. A friend give it to me because it shows vertical outlined lines at the start-up and it does not load the operating system because it continually re-start.

I tried to make a system recovery with F10 shot but it doesn't change anything and even when I formatted the system to start from zero, installing a new Vista operating system. In that case after 3 or 4 time it worked properly, it started showing a blue window with some errors:

STOP 0X00000124 (0X00000000, .....)

I tried to make a search oh this error code...but I only found it is a graphics error...

I tried to start the notebook without the HDD and the problem of outlined lines still presents so I can say it could be due to the Nvidia Graphics Card or to the RAM.

What do you think about that? And how can I know which one could be...as the Graphics Card is not removable?

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

Luigi

Dear friend,

I didn't, I only founded it can be or the graphic card or the lcd panel..tolding with a Sony center but they have to send it far from me...then it was not time to do that cause I'm in the earthquake zone if you ear it.

If I will do something, I'll let you know.

Good bye and Happy Easter.

First.

Try with an external display .Do you get the same lines?
If yes you have a faulty video card.
If your videocard is on board need to replace the mainboard.

It could be fixed with hot air and flux : [email protected]

I can't try because the system does not start properly. It restarts every time so without loading the O.S. I can't use an external display.

Good bye.
