HP Digital Sender 9250c problem

When scanning multiple pages with the document feed tray, the HP Digital Sender 9250c that I am working with scans the first page fine, then the rest of the pages are very faded and often unreadable.
Does anyone have a workaround or a solution to this problem?

The two pages of the attached pdf are exactly the same (same shade of grey) before scanning. The second one being lighter is the problem that I am having.
