I have this old Dell LCD Monitor that doesn't power on. When I plug it on the power cord, I don't have any lights or something like that. Seems to be a Power Supply problem.

I'm not familiar to this kind of eletronics. I'm a computer programer, and I don't know much about capacitor and stuff like that.

I just want to know if that can be something else, otherwise I'll order the Power Supply on the internet to try it on.

By the way.

its a Dell Model: 1800FP

Try resoldering joints on D903 & D906 on power supply board. If still does not work IC901 (2SA01) defective (ebay). Wink

It means if you don't understand his reply, you need to call a technician.

My the way, my wife has this monitor. Today we plugged it in for the first time since we moved across the country and we got nothing. Everything looked ok. I changed the power cord and Voila! It worked.
