Philips MCM8/22 CD read message "Disc not finalized&quo

Hello forum members!

Since my son inserted a DVD in my MCM8/22 Microssystem, I have this message when trying to play any commercial or non-commercial CDs : "Disc not finalized". This last message is a little strange for commercial CD, so using the manual found in this website, i tried to see where the problem was, and I found nothing suspect... So my conclusion is that the internal memory saved the last error and now the cd reader doesn't want to read any CDs. My question is : does "a reset button" exist as exists one for computer bios? Maybe reinitializing the micro-system it return to normal function...

i have found how to fix it. you need to unplug the unit for a min or so, then hold the skip track forward and ECO buttons while plugging the unit back in.
it will give system info on the screen, then press the skip track back button and it will reset all data.
when finished unplug the unit and plug in and use as normal.
