Hitachi ultravision 50UX26B will not turn on.

Hello, My hitachi ultravision 50UX26B projector tv is 13 years old. It was working perfectly. I turned it of one night and the next day it will not turn on. When the power switch is depressed, a popping sound is heard but nothing happens. Can you help???????

Join the club! My hitacji was 3 yrs old. Wouldn't turn on. Power supply board was bad. $469.00 for a refurb board plus labor. Just bought a new tv. Very dissapointed with Hitachi
