Hi Everyone,
I have a 42" plasma TV that wont turn on. The little research Ive done points to 1 of 3 internal components possibly being bad. I need to open up the TV and test the A/V board, the PDP board, and possibly others.
Can anyone here at this forum tell me How to test these internal components? I have the basic voltmeter, ... but have no idea if I need anything else or where to start.
The thing wont turn on and is basically a 42" paperweight right now so I figures what the hell, Ill try to fix it myself and learn something in the process.
Thank you!
-A

Only sure way: After locating a working SAME model set, install your board into the working set. If still works, Is Good - If doesn't work, is not Good. Bear in mind if your board IS defective, it may harm other parts of the working set. Wink

Or unplug board by board from the power supply till the set runs. Start with the Y sustain.
