Vizio P50HDM Loud Pop loss of Picture but has sound

DrDave needs help again.

My son-in- law called from Austin Texas to tell me he lost picture on his Vizio 50 inch plasma (P50HDM) after hearing a loud pop. but thinks he still has sound. Since we are going out to visit them for Thanksgiving he was hoping I could help him fix it.If not I'll be watching football on my laptop.
Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

I suspect the Y sustain. It's a 2009 model should have a 365 day warranty.

Is it a cap issue or something else that fails on the Y sustain pcb? Is worth trying to repair?

Too new to be a cap issue but you can pop the back off and inspect the left side vertical board.
