|
|
I have a Vizio L32 hdtv10a that my daughter had. The picture went out and there is no sound, but the power light turns green when it is turned on, and goes back to yellow when the power button is turned off. She says Vizio told her it was probably the backlight inverter board. Does anyone have experience with a similar symptom? If I can find the parts to fix it reasonably, I'd like to do it. |

I believe I am having the same problem that you are goldenboy, only I have a Vizio GV47LF HDTV10A. I have removed my power supply and cannot see any problems with it so I might work towards what you are talking about. The parts are available at vizparts.com, but you may have to crack the back off of your unit to get the correct part because sometimes there are different boards available for the same models. But match the numbers exactly to get the correct board. Good luck. I'll check back to see how you are doing, and hopefully give you some progress as to how I am coming out. |

First thing you want to do is inspect the power supply and inverters for bulged caps. |

Thanks for the response Royalman. What I discovered is that everything actually works on my daughters L32HDTV10A except there is no picture. When it is turned on (and properly connected to cable tv), the picture flashes on for a second then immediately goes away, but the audio works fine and I can change the channels and hear the audio just fine. I'm still trying to get this one figured out but will post the result once I get it. |

Minnie, thank you for your reply too. I will check for those bulged caps. I looked at the inverter board and couldn't really see anything unusual, but I'll look a little closer. Thanks again. |

Royalman,
I replaced the LCD Inverter Board on my L32HDTV10A and my problem was solved. I now have a fully functioning tv again. I bought the replacement board on Ebay and it worked like a dream. So for $60 I was able to get my tv back.
Good luck to you in getting your situation resolved. |
