Fixed my 32av500u

My backlight problem was fixed by replacing the Slave inverter board.
If anyone needs a Master inverter board HIU-813-M I have 2 of them. $55ea. + shipping. PM me for questions or payments through paypal.

I also have all of the boards, plus a few CCFL lamps, interior tin pieces along with front, and rear plastics for a 32av500u with dual inverter boards (Slave inverters are no good.)

If the power light on your set goes from red to green....press the menu button while holding a bright flash light at a angle to the screen. if you see a ghostly image of the menu then your tv is working but the backlight is not.

Do you here a sizzling/buzzing sound? if so that probably is the inverter...on my unit is was the slave inverter.

At this point you need to take the back off the set and see if it has one or 2 inverters.

if one inverter replace it..if dual inverters and the buzz comes from the right side of the set (the side with the external AV input) that is the slave inverter. Replace it.
