Laptop LCD white!

When I turn on my ASUS L2000 the screen flashes from black to white (when it should display something, like the bios)
This happened after I changed the resolution from 640x480 to 1024x768 (always used this) under safe mode with VGA (windows xp)

The LCD is an AU Optronics B141XN04. I lifted the LCD PCB, and there's nothing srange but one single dark white colored integrate, named IP100.

Is there anything I could do? Thanks in advanced

Well, i assume you have tried decreasing your display settings while connected to a monitor and then retried your lcd with no success ? Since you took the board out, did you check out the fuses, i know some of these units have a tendency to blow the fuse. You might also search at http://forum.notebookreview.com/ and see if there is any info there.

Well, I didn't find any SMD fuses with a socket, but I found that looks like one. I don't have a multitester with me to try, but as soon as I do this, I'll post again.
I just want to be sure overall if it's a problem with the LCD PCB or it might as well be in the motherboard, in the case I have to buy a new spare part.
