I HAVE A 4 YEAR OLD SONY 28 INCH TRINITRON TV ( NOT WIDESCREEN) WHEN I TURN IT ON IT GOES INTO STAND BY MODE AND THE LED FLASHES 11 TIMES. IF I PRESS THE STAND BY BUTTON ON REMOTE IT SOUNDS LIKE ITS ABOUT TO COME ON BUT DOESN'T. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY FEED BACK THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AND HELP

11 flashes on kv32ls35u means no 8v supply to the jungle ic, can be misleading as a short circuit HOT can cause the same symptoms, if HOT is s/c check for dry joints in line drive circuit and replace transistor with IDENTICAL item NOT an equivalent, if it fails again replace LOPTX. |

HOT means horizontal/line output transistor, LOPTX means horizontal/line output transformer, sometimes called flyback transormer. HOT in this set is Q533. |

Even I have the same problem, but it flashed 4 times. We were watching and it went blank. When I power on I hear it turn on - a click but not like how it used to sound earlier.

4 flashes means no vertical sync, if line stage is running correctly check frame output ic501 and its supplies, usually + & - 15v on pins 2 & 4. you will need to test this quickly as line will only run briefly in protection mode. |
