Is there anyone who can help me design/make a simple wind generator from off the shelf equipment like normal car alternator and pipes?

There are lots of designs on the internet and through youtube on building your own wind turbine both vertically and horizontally.
The trick is getting the gear ratio correct and finding a good generator to produce the desired output.
