toshiba 50inch tv bought 1993 need help PLEASE!

hey there just got a 50ich from a lady got it home was inside bout 10 mins then plugged in was ok for about 20 mins then something weird happened it got really bright and no matter how much you switch settings it still looks like someone is shining a flashlight through the screen any help please i can,t find any manuals or anything and remote it came with does,nt work either? any ideas thx bryan model number tp48703

well good news is i have had it on all morning and no problems thus far so my fingers are crossed i,m hoping casue it was outside so long it just had to warm up and dry up as i live in damp place thx to all that looked and if you have any ideas on why it did it i,ms till up to hear them thx
