sony mds-e11

hello
can some body help me with a mini disk. the modell is sony MDS-E11
my trouble is at the back off this player i have a conector a with 9 pin
if i use pin 1 and conect this to ground it shod start a playback but it not do so it go to stand by directly. so something is wrong. i need a service manual or a schema ower this modell please i hope some one can help me with best regards from ronny (my e-mail adress is ([email protected])
