i have this set and with power to it and red light on, i turn it on, clicks tho its coming on, then clicks straight off, then no lights and seems dead, unplug n it wud do same process, psu is lj44-00101b

Did you check the power supply for bulged caps?

first of all i would like to know your Unit.. this is CRT TV type or LCD TV? ok well'' if this is CRT type did you check B+ line Volts? 100vdc? did you check HOT mean horizontal output transistor. now cause of high voltage shutdown check t out B+ line when its goes up, this the cause of your hgh voltage shutdown means you have no seen light up to filament... and also check the E-capasitor has capasitance 100uf 160vdc and chec the risistor going to the B+ when its open... hope this can help. just update me sir

Google the units model number or zsus or ysus. Should find at least one hit that tells you what type of set (Plasma). Surprised

HI, my tv is running for about 40 mins, then seems to become hot and shutdown, it is a crt type, is this the same problem as you described in your post?
