i got a PS-50Q96HD samsung set suffers from a green / yellow / red dotted picture ?
orignal fault was: there was no picture when i got set i noticed top left buffer board had blown so i took out top buffer
and also tryed a diffrent bottom buffer board.
( dont have a top buffer avalible yet hence black at top part of picture ) i also tryed another bottom buffer but same problem.
i have tryed a replacment y-sus board & also a diffent control board & also changed the main av board.
i have attached a picture of the fault.
its got my puzzled anyone have any ideas what fault might be with bottom part or picture?.

| yes it does has a upper & lower drive board attached to the y-sustain board i tryed a diffrent lower drive board but it still had no picture? |

hi minnie, john ( jjcool ) bought over another buffer board which he had spare to try but it still the same
would it help minnie if i took a little video showing you fault in action ?
as its got us stumped. |

| The chance of having a bad upper and lower drive board is slim to none unless the panel is bad. |

theres no colored vertical lines i can see when set comes on so i thought pdp maybe ok?
however what are the symptoms of a faulty pdp?
i have a q97hd & also a c96hd samsung both have these same symptoms ?
as i can only fit 1 buffer as i do not have a top buffer untill i can get hold of one i have noticed the 3 ceramic resistors on the y-sustain are getting red hot? |

one thing i forgot to say in my last post above was i also notice when i power the set on, is the white ceramic block resistors on the y-sustain are getting red hot?
