GFM MJ840G video cassette/dvd player no power

Hi I have this cheap video cassette/dvd combo and the power will not come on. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it got enough power to eject the disc then shut off again.

I opened it up to take a look at the power supply but the power cord goes directly to the main board.

Is there anything I can do? I was thinking I could rig the power for the DVD player to an old power supply I have from an old PC, but I was expecting a power supply in the DVD player of some kind.

Any help or advice would be great!
