I HAVE A ZENITH MODEL PVR5263MK AND I AM TRYING TO FIX A NO PICTURE PROBLE. IT WILL POWER ON AND I GET SOUND THROUGH THE SPEAKERS. BUT I GET NO PICTURE OR EVEN A FLASH THAT INDICATES I TURNED THE TV ON. I AM STUMPPED CAN SOMEONE HELP?

you have a bad switch mode power supply module

Hi,

U sure its the SMPS module faulty? There's power to the audio section of the board... Confused Although not impossible, it seldom happens that ONLY a certain section in the power unit blew out... I stand corrected. Smile

A few tinkers...

1. Service switch?
Is the service switch dirty? Sometimes this can get in the way. Spray with contact spray.

2. FBT dry joints?
I would suggest to resolder all joints at FBT section.

3. Is there a glow at the neck of CRT?
No glow = no power to color gun(s)... could be transistor bad or
bad CRT (hopefully not!)
