Car radio problems

I have a fiat Punto 1.5 years old with a blaupunkt radio with CD player. The car was serviced recently and ever since the radio has been switching itself on after the ignition is off and it also trys to play CD's when there is none in the machine. Can anyone shed some light on this before I shell out on an expensive garage trip.

have you tried holding down the mute button when turning on the ignition and keeping it pressed untill the display says ign on?
