The RMI filter has 115V input and only 23.5V output. Is this enough? I have tried the reset procedure, hold the power button while unplugged for 1 minute but no luck. This is kinda funny, but my cat ran out from behind the TV and it went black with no sounds or noise. I tested all the fuses with my ohm meter, they show good (about 7 of them). No lights on the TV will light up. Can anyone give me some direction before I haul this big thing in. The RMI filter was my biggest question as 23.5volts doesn't see like enough juice for a large electronic device.

Thanks.

Shane

IF it is an external RMI filter - try plugging the TV into a regular wall outlet to see if it still works.

It is an internal RMI filter. I called about 10 tv repair shops in the Kansas City area yesterday. NOBODY can tell me if a RMI filter steps down voltage as well as the amperage. The ratings on the filter are 115V/6A. It says nothing on the values about the lower voltage I am experiencing. I have about 115V AC going in, and only 23.5V AC coming out. This little filter is about 3.5" long, 1" wide, 1" depth. Can someone shed some light on the principles of RMI filters so I can eliminate it? Thank you, jts1957, for the comment. If a stand alone RMI filter has 115V output for device(s) power. Shouldn't an internal one work off the same principal?

No transformer. Read the two leads going to the power supply it should be 120vac.
