ok u nead small ac psu (a dc one can work but it for more on how to use a dc one ask) a load ,multimter a triging serket ,2 of the pins are for triging and the other 2 are for the load (look up "icmaster.com or other sites) conect the triging sercet (if u don`t have one u can bild one 555 oserlater work just fine, ps do`t forget to use diacks or u could pop your scr) connet voltage to load with scr inbetween puls the gate and test with mulimeter ,,, or get your self one of thow fancy mulimeters that can test scr`s or bild your-self a scr tester (2 caps 2 555s 2 led`s 8 resisters)

Pardon my ignorance, but what is a four-terminal SCR? What does the fourth terminal do? Do you have a part number or a Spec Sheet?

4 pin scr is 2 scr`s back to back used in swichmode psu ..(thyristors) are used but or "(sibod) Tm" go to the "ecg" site or pinouts or icmaster.com

the more you read the beter

and remember there is no such thing as a stupit question.

FS0401BD 200 V, surface mount SCR in 4-pin DPAK package. Operational temperature range from -40°C to 125°C.

can anyone tell me from where I can get 70NT140 datasheet. It is a 4 pin IC, but the datasheet is not available on net.

Sounds more like a house number. What circuit is it in? Is there any logo printed on the IC?
