no picture-no sound only click when on/off switch is depress

Hitachi cu5001B projection TY 20 years old. When power switch is pressed, TV makes a clicking noise and the power light goes on for a split second and then goes off. There is no picture and no sound

it could be a few things the horazonal out put transistor, or the flyback could be gone,.also there are some caps that will cause the same problem,.but being 20 years old i would think it is time to put her to rest, carl
