Please help, Hitachi C32WF523N-311 slanted picture

Hi there. I recently bought an ex rental Hitachi widescreen tv (C32WF523N-311) and from the moment i plugged in and switched on the picture was about an inch or so too high on the screen and slightly slanted upwards (going up left to right). When the screen aspect button is pressed on the remote to say 16:9Large, the picture stretches and fills the screen although it is still too far north and tilted. For this reason i do not believe there is a problem with the tube (at least i hope not ).
Any assisstance with this problem would be much appreciated as i can not really afford to pay for a repair at the moment. Thanx!!
